GNZ Financial is owned and operated by its current president, Greg Zott. After completing his undergraduate degree in 1977, Greg worked for the John Hancock Insurance company as an agent and then staff manager. Those years were valuable in two ways: 1) learning the basic principles of financial planning and 2) finding out the limitations of a Career or one company Advisor.
In January 1988, Greg started his own Independent firm, GNZ Financial, out of his home. Greg was able to take what he learned from his experience with a big corporation and combine it with the benefits that an independent financial advisor can offer. GNZ quickly outgrew Greg’s home office and relocated to Troy, Michigan, an office more centrally located for all his clients. In 2004, GNZ’s growth forced a re-location to a bigger office in Troy, where the firm is currently celebrating 27 years in business. Since 2004, GNZ continues to grow in both staff and clients.
